    The Best ever

    Pros: I feel strongly about this album

    Cons: none whatsoever

    The reason for Billly's dark side was that Rosalyn, his true love, died in a car crash, just before finishing the recordings for the album. This evident in the track "Rosalyn." In spite of it all, the grandeur of the music, the harmonie...s, the imitation of Louis Armstrong, and the energy of the album as a whole, is incredible. Today I listened to it, I have done that since 1991, and it is as fresh as ever. Bless you Billy Luz Sprague. We need more of this talent and product, than the regular everyday, no so talented music put out by others gospel singers. Read more Less

    I met Billy about 14 years ago on a trip to Florida where he provided a week worth of musical entertainment. He was at that time a very happy, high spirited, and very entertaining person. I have enjoyed several of his ablums, in which he has carried... over that fun free spirited feeling. However, I found "Torn Between Two Worlds" to portray Billy's darker side. I got the impression that he was going through a very rough time in his life when he wrote this album. Although he did not lose any of his ability to write/sing and touch the hearts of the listener; he did lose his fun and adventurous spirit. I rate him a three, because he still produces music from the heart. I must say that of the four albums I have from Billy, I listen to this one the least. Read more Less
