Torin Thatcher
Born in India to British parents, Torin Thatcher was a schoolteacher before attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. After seven years on-stage, Thatcher made his first film, Irish Hearts, in 1934. The actor utilized his "equipment" -- a muscular physique, broken-glass voice, and baleful stare -- to specialize in menacing roles.
