This is one of the first records I ever listened to in my life. It may not be rods Hardest rock but at 20 years old it sounds just as sweet as the first time I heard it.
His Best CD yet!!!!!
Not one bad cut,all the songs were straight from the heart,were touching,he never put out a better release!!!! ranked # 6 of the best CDS of 1981,#35 as the best CDs of the 80s and # 55 as one of the ebst albums of all time,indispensible!!!!

Though it lacks a truly great selection of songs, Tonight I'm Yours is a fine latterday effort from Rod Stewart, and one of the last records that makes Rod sound like he's hip. Sporting a shiny new wave production, Tonight I'm Yours has a sleek, professional sound that can make even mindless raveups like "Tora, Tora, Tora (Out With the Boys)" a guilty pleasure. But the key to the album lies in songs like "Tonight I'm Yours" and the haunting "Young Turks," where Rod sounds totally at ease with a synth pop beat. They are some of the best examples of mainstream rock coopting the nervy, quirky appeal of new wave, and they make Tonight I'm Yours an enjoyable, if lightweight, listen.
