Formed in 2007 after their earlier band, Versoma, called it a day, Tombs was led by Mike Hill and Justin Ennis. In 2007, the dark, proto industrial sounds of Tombs were first put to wax in the form of a two song EP, entitled (simply) Tombs. The EP was released on Black Box.
