Fearful that North Korea is amassing huge quantities of military weapons, the new Chinese regime eliminates arms sales to North Korea. In response, the North Korean government initiates secret overtures to Russia, who strikes a quiet alliance. In the midst of another North Korean famine, food riots begin rocking the countryside and the rogue North Korean general assumes complete control of the army. Blaming China for the famine, he begins charging north to seize Chinese territory with tacit support from its new Russian ally.

China moves to respond, but limits the level of escalation, fearing open conflict with Russia and a possible nuclear exchange. Instead, China officially agrees to a multinational force to safeguard the China-North Korean border. Unofficially, the Ghosts and other special forces go in. Their mission: cripple the North Korean threat and depose the rogue general.

Pros: great multiplayer, graphics, sound, huge levels
Cons: voice command system not perfect
This is the only game me and my friends are playing on Xbox Live at the moment. It's addictive. It's not the typical "frag"-style shooter, and there's no way you can play it that way. I have to hide behind trees, seek out the hi...gh ground, and be on the lookout for anyone trying to drop me. There's co-op teamplay on multiplayer as well, which is fun, and a refreshing change after spending all your time trying to kill your friends. The multiplayer maps are huge, and well designed and full of details.The single player campaign is also pretty sweet, although I haven't finished the whole way through yet. Once I discovered multiplayer mode with my buddies, I've been hooked online.The voice command system using your XBL headset sometimes doesn't work, but it's no worse than any other voice recognition system I've run into. Besides, the traditional controls are easy to learn, and become almost second nature, so there's no reason to use the voice commands anyway.If you want to have a great time online, get this game! let me first say that ghost recon 2 is the most addictive game i have ever played.i havnt played any other game since i got it.(including halo2.yeah,its that good.) the graphics are excellent. the sound is amazing. Ubisoft has captured every sing sou...nd of every movement your solder is going to make. this is a very realistic game. 1 bullet can kill. most of the time it takes about three to kill. the multiplayer is awesome. you will be addicted to it. the maps are huge.there are two kind of major problems with GR2. the menus are anoying in online play. you cant get around that easily. and you cant play more than about 14 players in a game. when it goes to 15 or 16, it crashes. but every game has its cons. you dont buy a game cause of its menu, you buy it because of the gameplay. once you start playing ghost recon 2 online or of(the real prize is the multiplayer), youll never stop.
