Titus, Julie Taymor's controversial film adaptation of Shakespeare's gory Titus Andronicus, features a score by Oscar-nominated composer Elliot Goldenthal. In keeping with the film's modernized, surreal, and nonlinear style, Goldenthal fuses classical and contemporary elements together in a dynamic, often startling fashion. While it complements the film perfectly, Titus may not offer the most complete listening experience outside of its original context.
