    1
    Press Play
    77
Instrumental album opener, using guitar harmonics.

    2
    Pop's Love Suicide
    84
    Raw rock with catchy hooks.

    3
    Tumble in the Rough
    78
Another good STP song, midtempo and raw.

    4
    Big Bang Baby
    86
More raw rock with perfect catchy hooks.

    5
    Lady Picture Show
    83
A Classic, very Beatles circa Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band / Penny Lane era.

    6
    And So I Know
    68
Neat Beach Boys-style ballad with high surf-harmonies and jazzy guitar solo.

    7
Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart
    91
Perfect rock song - great chorus and solo.

    8
    Art School Girl
    85
Another great monster rock song with riffs, catchy melody and drumming thunder in the chorus (though it's more like the Police versus Joe Jackson in the verse). Great song, with a floaty bridge section, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys-style.

    9
    Adhesive
    66
Average by STP standards, but good.

    10
    Ride the Cliche
    79
A rock song that parodies itself, but is very cleverly done.

    11
    Daisy
    52
    An instrumental, done on guitar.

    12
    Seven Caged Tigers
    78
The album closer is again a great melody and feel, to the same effect as the Urge Overkill "Saturation" album. "Feel-good" rock music, great twin guitars and hooks.

Average song score for the album: 77 / 100

    damn fine album

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 3, 2001

Actually it's not that tiny in terms of quality. While people may not hear "Sex Type Thing Part 2" or "Vasoline Part 2" in here, the tracks are quite good. Lyrically there's plenty of that wacky, obscure and cryptic writing we all love Scott for, Dean's guitar is still inspiring, Robert gets funky, and Eric somehow holds it all in time. All in all a very good album. Must hear tracks: Big Bang Baby, Lady Picture Show, Trippin on a Hole..., Art School Girl. Oh fuck it, just listen to it all.

I first bought this album the day it was released. At first I thought it was ok but not excellent. Then a few years ago I listened to it again all the way through and its pure genious my fav STP album now. Tiny Music.. is a feel good album. When you listen to it its pure musical bliss. If you don't have this record but it now.

    Not a welcome diversion. . .

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 11, 2001

Tiny Music..., Stone Temple Pilots's third album, stands out like a sore thumb from the catalog, dishing out a more melodic, low-fi sound that becomes as a dissapointing change for fans of the band's more hard-rocking tunes that are included on STP's other albums. This album has its high points, with Pop's Love Suicide, Big Bang Baby, Lady Picture Show, and Trippin' On a Hole In a Paper Heart. However, as a whole, the album lacks the power, passion, and lyrical prowess that we see on the other albums. It's not a must-buy, but for fans who do purchase it, check out the aforementioned tracks, and include Tumble in the Rough and Seven Caged Tigers among your most oft-listened to songs.

    Re: soo beautiful

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 1, 2000

STP's most recent album, no.4 was so beautiful!! I knew of their other in the past, but wasn't really interested in the whole grunge scene, so never really payed attention. After hearing this album, I immediately ran out to buy every one they've ever made. Their sound is definately unique and extremely emotional. I understand Scott's lyric's, and absolutely empathize with his longing, pain, and overwhelming feelings.

    Incredible...

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 29, 2000

Scott Weiland and Company finally prove they have their own sound with this intelligent and provacative album. From the melodic bittersweet Adhesive to the drugged out rocker Big Bang Baby, STP show a depth of field that few rock bands will ever have... And to all of you who say this album was terrible, I pity you... You don't know what you're missing.

Nice shit. Good for rainy days. Some songs seem really long and tedious to listen to but Lady Picture Show, Big Bang Baby and a few other songs more than make up for them.

    Excellent album!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 12, 2000

This was a really good album from STP. My favorite songs on it are Big Bang Baby, Lady Picture Show, Trippin on a hole in a Paper Heart, Tumble in the Rough, and Art School Girlfriend. Their latest album No.4 is even better.

    stp is simply incredible

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 5, 2000

stp's third effort is decidedly different than their other two, but that's what is great about em. they got a lot of criticism that they sounded like rip-offs of pearl jam and nirvana, but even most of those agree that they were wrong. this one is influenced more with pop rock than hard rock, but it still has plenty of great music. even though big bang baby and lady picture show are considered the best songs on the album, i still have to say the ultra-catchy, fast-paced trippin on a hole in a paper heart is the best track. other great songs include adhesive, pop's love suicide, art school girl, and tumble in the rough

    Uneven, but decent.

A somewhat disappointing follow-up to "Purple". 2 or 3 standout cuts, a few forgettable ones.

    Damn

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 14, 2000

Weiland was definetly high when they made this record. Compared to this, I would prefer they sound like Pearl Jam rip-offs.

    An homage to real music

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 14, 2000

STP delivers in this fantastic album, by far their best, next to Weilands solo project these are the best lyrics he has ever written. He gives grace to the idea of a superstar. The antistar himself combines rock with campire melodies and an eerie electronic awareness that times they are a changin' without StoneTemple Pilots where would we be, still listening to bush and other crap like that but for the most part I'm sure that true musicians can enjoy the wonder and genius that prevails throughout this entire album. A truly stunning work by a truly timeless band... simply amazing I love Adhesive and Seven Caged Tigers Press Play the whole damn album is like a little piece the bands soul for only 14.99 and well worth it. Thank you STP for saving true musicians music, the production aspect and live elements as well are just phenomenal.

    Artisticly their best

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 28, 1999

Tiny Music is STP at their most creative, imaginative and gutsiest. "Lady picture show" may be the bands' best song. "Big bang baby" kicks ass (and rolling stones' ass!). There is a more sensetive side to the music than on previous albums which is a good thing. This is in no way a dissapointing follow-up to "purple".

    A very different STP

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 23, 1999

Let me put it this way, this is STP's worst album, and it's still pretty damn good. It is large step back from their grunge past, but it still rocks. "Trippin..." and "Adhesive" are the albums strongest cuts, but "Ride the Cliche" and "Tumble in the Rough" are definetly songs that deserve repeated listens. If it weren't for the two instrumental tracks, "Lady Picture Show," and "Art School Girlfriend" this album would be amazing.

    It's alright.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 21, 1999

It doesn't compare to their previous two but it does have its moments. Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart, Big Bang Baby, and Lady Picture Show offer enjoyable sounds.

What the hell happened to them?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 31, 1999

This album was probably intended to shake off all those PJ comparisons, but it doesn't work for them. The two gawdawful instrumentals and 'Pop's Love Suicide' plain suck. At least they didn't go too far from their original sound. 'Ride the Cliche' and 'Lady Picture Show' will relieve STP fans and 'Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart' and 'Adhesive' show off a newer, but still likeable sound. I still like Purple more.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 25, 1999

This is a cool album and a complete piss take of the Rolling Stones. "Trippin' On a Hole in a Paper Heart" is probually my favourite track (with it's Pink Floyd like sounds) but it's very hard to put your finger on it. It's an album you have to really listen to all in one go.
    In short excellent.

    Yet another great album

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 25, 1999

Once again STP proves to be one of the most talented bands in history. Tiny Music has a form totally different from previous STP releases. Songs like Lady Picture Show, Art School Girl, and Daisy show that they can write good songs in any style, while songs like Big Bang Baby and Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart continue to display Weiland's great talent for writing lyrics. This is possibly their best album yet.
