Time Flies is yet another example of everything that should be right with country music but isn't. Billy Ray has written or co-written about half the songs on this album. The album is a very diverse one musically, ranging from more traditional ...country (such as Time Flies, Back to Memphis, and What Else is There) to the more country/
rock'n'roll that I think adds great life to the album (such as Hard to Leave and I Luv Ya), with a number of other songs striking a unique balance between the two. Bill Ray continues to be a distinct (and superior) sound among the traditional cookie cutter "country" acts out there. If you are looking for an album with a unique musical style and one that will run the gamut of emotions from sadness to pride to just plain fun, this is a must have album. Read more Less
