Forever recalled as one of the modern world's most reliable session men, with stints alongside Pink Floyd, Procol Harum, Nick Hayward, TV Smith, Al Stewart and David Bowie (to name but a fraction) littering his resume, Tim Renwick was also involved with some of the most distinctively original music of the 1970s, as a member of the everremarkable Sutherland Brothers and Quiver conglomerate. Whether or not this influenced the decision to let him cut a solo album is not for us to wonder; what should be said, however, is that Tim Renwick stands as one of the unsung jewels in his long career, a guitarist's tourdeforce that may occasionally stumble in the songwriting stakes, but is nevertheless a solid indication of his most saleable talent. But all is forgiven when R...enwick unleashes his guitar and that is most of the time. - Dave Thompson, All Music Guide Read more Less
