Pro Reviews: Tim McGraw & The Dancehall Doctors
| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews At a time when most Nashville releases were a blend of redneck resilience and glossy sentimentality, the ever-improving Tim McGraw uses an abundance believability and strong melodies on A Place in the Sun. Songs such as "Seventeen" and "My Next Thirty Years" may carry clichéd messages of youth's optimism, but the vocal hooks that house them more than make up for it. No longer relying on hokey material like "Indian Outlaw," Sun finds McGraw developing into a quality country crooner. - Steven Kurutz, All Music Guide |

Pros: Great Lyrics
Cons: Not up to par has all of his previous albums
I love Tim McGraw. I have loved him ever since he did a music video in my home town, of Crescent City CA. Well anyways about this cd. I like it but it hasnt been as good as his pass cd's. There are very good songs on it, but a few not to good.
