Maine composer Tim Janis studied piano and received a degree in composition from the University of New Hampshire, in Durham. He experimented with several forms of music by composing two musicals (produced at UNH), synthesized pop songs with vocals, scores for small independent films, country, jazz, acoustic instrumentals, and even hard rock.
