Pros: Quite Romantic...
Cons: Worth Watching...
The story is about Victor, a bridegroom who happened to stop off at a desert forest in order to practise how to say an engagement promise. But the dry branch that he whispered to and practised putting a ring on turned out to be a corpse bride whose name was Emily. She had been killed just at her wedding by her bridegroom. When she heard Victor's whispers, she captured him into the underworld and constrained him to marry her, meanwhile his real bride, Victoria, was waiting hopelessly in the land of the living. Although life at the Land of the Dead was much more lively and colourful than the place where Victor had been born and grown up, he learned that there was nothing in this world, or even the next, that could keep him away from his one true love.
Finally, Victor found out a way to return to his real life without making Emily sad and disppointed. This is the romantic style which becomes very familiar in movies made by Tim Burton.
Though there are ghosts, corpses and overcast scenes in the film, I think it's not horrible. It's not only quite romantic but also of value on humanity education. It's a film worth watching...
Pros: style
Cons: none
The Corpse Bride is a fun movie. I love how Tim Burton made the living world dark & gloomy while the dead world is fun, lively, & colorful. I was glade to see that the living were not just filmed with special lighting & lenses but were truly colored the way you see them. It made for a wonderful effect. This is as fun as his Nightmare Before Christmas though maybe not quite as good
Pros: excellent stop-motion animation, good voicings
Cons: may seem scary and even weird to some
I thought this was a wonderful movie. The title and plot make the movie seem like it would be scary or weird, but the ending turns out to be really cute and sweet. This may not be one for the young kids, but it is very entertaining otherwise.
Pros: Being a tim burton film, the characters are clever
Cons: I didn't know it was a musical...
I had heard that Corpse Bride was suppose to be good.
I think it was alright. Being a TIm Burton film, the characters are clever, and delicously cute.
I didn't know it was a musical, and I really couldn't hear the songs without the telivision turned way up, and with the subtitles on. The lyrics defienetly needed work. I did like the 'tears to shed' song. When you have subtitles and know the words, that song is probably the best part of the movie.
The movie's images are far to frightening to show to a child that is under age nine or ten. All in all, it was just 'ok'
Pros: funny animation Movie
Cons: must see.
It's very funny movie. At first i think It's a horror movie but when i see it, i change my mind.
Haha you should see it.really interesting movie
Pros: Great visuals, voice casting is Just Right.
Cons: Low on extas
Maybe a little spooky for little ones, but a visual delight for grownups. Clever, well-paced and fun to watch.
Pros: another tim burton
Cons: lenght, too short
hes done it again, thsi time happily adding a classical jazzy feel to it, with origianl paino scores completing the score the musical vibe is no longer that kidy lion king anymore. Personally i love the character looks, the skinny legs and tallt hin bodies really show emotion more and the "spooky" feel of the film, although beacuse of the work it takes with claymation the film is not too long likea full elnght movie but adequete:)
Pros: Visually stunning
Cons: Shouldn't have been a musical
Riding on the heels of the highly successful "Nightmare Before Christmas" animated tale, "Corpse Bride" held high expectations but didn't entirely deliver. Although a charming and entertaining story that touches the heart, the musical elements didn't provide the same catchy tunes you found yourself humming to after viewing "Nightmare". The lyrics seemed a bit contrived, but nonetheless did well to illustrate the story. The visual effects in this film however far surpassed "Nightmare" in every respect. Characters were rendered with exceptional fluidity of movement, and incredible detail: including the tiny twitches in the eyes mimicking the actual human gaze (when you look at a person while talking to them, you gaze wanders ever so slightly). For a heart-warming tale with beautiful visuals, see "Corpse Bride" - but don't bother rushing out to buy the soundtrack.
Pros: Fun
Cons: non
