    This is one great cd. It is probably as good as some of Led Zeppelin's Cd's if not better. You can notice the ties that Jones has with Led Zeppelin, but the bass lines are much better. The first song, Leafy Meadows, has great bass lines and is all ...instrumental.It makes you want to listen to more after the song. The next song, the albums title piece, The Thunderthief.It tells a great song and is the first you heard of Jones in the album. His voice is somewhat distorted, as Robert Plant's is in Zeppelin's No Quater.Good instrument work. Hoediddle has guitar work by Jones and is reminiscent of Jimmy Page. Very good song and incorporates the mandolin's into it. The next song is one of my favorites, Ice fishing at night. It's a great song, and is funny as well as it takes most of it song about fish, its very good. Piano is the only instrument used.This is all for now, but there are five more songs which i will reveiw later.. Read more Less
