The most instrumentation these tracks ever had was an organ, a piano and an occasional drum. Originally issued on Specialty Records in the 1950-53 period, these 29 tracks are Black congregational styled numbers, 23 of them previously unissued. These sides also include six selections where Brother Joe May joined the singers. Most of the rest finds Sallie and Cora trading leads. A fine example of Sallie's powers shows up on "Ain't That Good News."
