    In my opinion, the Beta Band are better than radiohead. I think they are the greatest brit pop since the smiths.

    Well well well. What can i say? I'm listening to the album now. I've had it about a year, still listen to it all the time. Considering it's a compilation of three e.p.s (duh!), it all fits together really well. Sounds beautiful - and i don't call mus...ic beautiful - but its samples, cuts, relays... its the record i wish i could have made if i had the talent. Read more Less

    I bought this on a whim and don't regret it one bit. Top notch stuff. Alongside the Furries, Gorkys and probably Radiohead they're truly pushing British music into new areas. Inspired.

    Yes, it is truly stupid that "artists" like The Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears get tonnes of glowing reviews for their manufactured garbage and an album of such visceral power and oddity like the Three E.P.'s gets only two reviews. A very weird ...CD, nonetheless it will stick to you like glue, because it grows stronger with every listen. Don't be put off by other reviews anywhere else that give it a bad mark: this and their debut will be future cult classics, if not present cult classics. Marvelous. Read more Less

    It maddens me that there should be no reviews of The Beta Band, while the Stereophonics page is probably teeming with praise from ill informed teenagers. This however, is as good as music can possibly get. So far ahead of their peers are Steve Mason... and co. that on the final EP it's simply impossible to know where they're coming from, whether on the glassy Dr Baker or the hypnotic, slow building Push It Out.
