    Bargain for the Money

Pros: Automatic dimming display, electronic tuner, handy features, cool blue digits, progressive alarm volume.

Cons: A little tricky to figure out at first.

I was browsing the Sears electronics section looking for a new alarm clock as my old Zenith had finally bit the dust. I was looking for something cheap but good-looking and not too obtrusive. This caught my eye and I made a mental note of it while I ...browsed other models. I finally came back to this one and examined the features listed on the box. For $20, it seemed like a steal so I bought it. For starters, I love the fact that the clock sets automatically and has time zones for all four areas of the US. It even has a switch for daylight savings time! Upon turning on the radio, I found the sound quality to be decent and instantly fell in love with the electronic tuner which shows the exact frequency on the display as opposed to the old sliding arrow. At first, I found setting and turning the alarm on to be a little difficult but had it figured out in no time. Anybody who's familiar with basic electronics shouldn't have any trouble with this. Also, the buzzer gets progressively louder instead of assaulting your ear drums at full volume. Also, I love the fact that the display dims and brightens with ambient light. The darker the room, the dimmer the display gets. Overall, I think my $20 was very well spent and would suggest this clock to anybody. Read more Less
