    Top-Notch 1950s Sci-Fi Classic in Techni

    Fabulous, Fantastic, artistic and visually stunning sci-fi epic virtually creates an alien planet and its landscapes while engaged in an interplanetary war. Only flaws are a few dud lines in the script.Great acting by a fine cast. Starts slow to buil...d up to a fast finish.Intriguing and fascinating from beginning to end. And the Technicolor is eye-popping!Highly recommended visionary and imaginative film, second only to FORBIDDEN PLANET (1956) as one of my favorites. Read more Less

    Faith Domergue was a dark, beautiful film star. I enjoyed her work in "This Island Earth" very much as Dr. Ruth Adams. I liked her outfit which, unfortunately, she ruined by hiding from the Metalunans with co-star Rex Reason. The choker scarf, the ...pink blouse, and the green beaded skirt looked gorgeous on her. Congratulations to the Universal Wardrobe Department. I need to see more of her films. Make comparisons. Read more Less
