The X-Files: Resist or Serve PlayStation 2

The greatest game, EVER!

Pros: Authentic actor voicework, superb in-game storyline depth.

Cons: Honestly, none that I have found.

I recently purchased the video game, X-Files: Resist or Serve for the PS2. And, I must say, it is one of THE ABSOLUTE BEST video games, period, that I have ever played! The game features the real-life voices of all the X-Files actors (including the stars of the show, David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully), as well as the actors who portrayed other major and minor characters of the show such as Cigarette Smoking Man, The Lone Gunmen, Skinner, Krycek, and Kersh). The game's storylines are set somewhere in the time frame around season 7 of the tv series. The game itself has sort of the same unique feel that the earlier Resident Evil games had, mixed with all the interesting paranormal-themed storylines that one would come to expect from an X-Files game. The gameplay is realistic and easy to catch on to. Also, the graphics really blew me away as to how great they were, especially since I read the back of the package and this is a 2004 game. The folks over at Vivendi-Universal games really did a superior job of capturing the mystery, intrigue, and excitement of the Fox television series and blending it in with great graphics, gameplay, voiceovers, and in-game storyline depth. Highly recommended for X-Files fans and also fans of video games that have a Resident Evil-type feel to them.
