Don't buy box set
Pros: One of the greatest films ever made
Cons: Box set version is a waste
Theirs no question this film is great. I'm a grown man and I still watch this movie over and over. I have the single disc version but the box version is dissapointing. The main reason anybody would buy this set is for the so-called updated picture quality. Their is none. I have top notch video equiptment and I see no difference in sound or picture quality compared to the single disc.

Pros: Judy Garland
Cons: nothing to mention
A movie that should be entered in every time capsule sent to the outer regions of space. The aliens should love Munchkinland songs. The special effects ae still the how to do of Hollywood manual books. Judy Garland could not have found the ultimate vehicle to launch her celebrated career like this one. And believe it or not, I watched this the other day, and thought, even Lord of the Rings does not make my visual tastebuds gasp as when viewing the scenery down the "yellow brick road." I have to watch this periodically, if not to mimic the once annual treat of television of yesterday. When my parents got their first color television tube, I couldnt help resist but to ask neighbor friends to come watch The Wizard Of Oz to see the magical transition from black/white into COLOR! It was the champagne bottle for the new feature technology. Best wicked witch of the west!

I grew up on this film. Always loved it, still do and now, my daughter loves it too. Everyone knows this one, it doesn't really need reviewing. I just wanted to add it to my list. For all ages.

This is by far one of the best movies ever made. Judy Garland is loveable and charming, as are all of the other characters.

The Wizard of Oz is my all time greatest movie. It is touching and funny all at the same time. I cried the first time I watched it and I was three years old. My kids love to watch it today.

It is now the 20th century and the Wizard of Oz motion picture is over 60 years old. even though this movie is older than others it still lives on today. This is the kind of movie that will still be around for generations, unlike other movies. This movie is like no other and full of magical memories that will last a life time. So remember "There's no place like home!"

This movie is a classic that has and will amaze generations to come. It is a story about four friends that follow the yellow brick road in search of what they already have. It is the story of courage, love, friendship, truth and self-discovery, but it is really a take off on life. We all have our "yellow brick road" to follow.

I would just like to take the time to say that I hate musicals, but I loved this one. This movie was full of imagination and adventure. The songs were funny and joyful. A+!!!
