    Pros: William Holden

    Cons: 3 hours.

    I'm a big William Holden fan. Holden was marvelous in this one. Definately one of the best movies I have seen. Apparently, Peckinpaugh was a bit "erratic" in his approach toward directing. Holden didn't like the endless takes and re...takes, but it certainly paid off in the end. My favorite part is "The Walk" near the end of the movie. GENIUS. Read more Less

    The wild bunch starts off being outlaws in the opening parts but more is understood as the story goes. It is a story of friendship, trust and loyalty.The story of old outlaws who knows their time is running out and making a stand for what they belie...ve in.The final shoot-out is the best massacre I have ever seen.     No questions asked, the greatest western ever made and one of the most beautiful films ever to be commited to celluloid. Peckinpah was a genius, the film is his masterpiece and the fact that u are reading this means you probably don't already own it.... Buy it now, do not hesitsate. "If they move.....Kill em!"     Certainly a good film but not one I really enjoyed watching. It successfully takes the glamour out of the Western and makes it dirty, mean, and real. That's commendable and the cast is first rate. Not a fun movie to watch, but recommended anyway.
