    Pros: Good acting

    Cons: The ending

    I saw this movie at the theater and was totally disappointed. The movie was way over rated. The whole concept was just too unbelievable. How is a blind girl honestly gonna make it all the way through a forest to where she has never been before. Co...me On, M. Night, you're better than that. How dumb was the ending!!! The revelation of what the monster was, was so annoying!!! RETARDED!!! I was very upset. I'm not going to buy this DVD, but if you do, I highly recommend you rent it first so that you don't waste your money. Read more Less

    Pros: It was a free rental

    Cons: I was conned into watching by the trailers!!

    By far, the worst film I've watched in a year.NOT credible, NOT compelling , and the storyline was as clever as Michael Moore...NOT!!! Obviously those that found this film on top of there favorite "Horror Movie" list, don't require ...much for entertainment. Bad Movie!! Read more Less

    Pros: Very good trailers

    Cons: Not a Horror flick.

    I do not understand why this is being billed as a horror flick. It is not! They seem to have completely missed who they're target audiance is.

    Pros: It's M. Night! What do you expect?!

    Cons: No director commentary

    This is another great Shyamalan movie, about as good as Signs. The suspense in some of the scenes is masterfully done. You are left longing to see what is going to happen. Then, the twist at the end...never saw that coming. Classic M. Night Shyam...alan! Loved it. The extra features are very nice, also. The only problem is that there is no director commentary.     Pros: Good Pic for Hi-Def TV

    Cons: Not in DTS

    Excellent movie--M. Night does it again. One part actually made me jump--other parts gave me goosebumps. Cannot wait for his next film.

    M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village"

    Pros: Amazing Cast!, Plot, Twists

    Cons: Mild gore,Scary Surprises

    Well, you can't say much about the movie other that WOW! and you can't say much about the movie without ruining the whole thing. So, if you are planning to watch this movie, i'd recomend NOT reading my review. For the rest of you, This mo...vie takes place in the peacful town of Covington. This small village is a very average place, but however, the tows-people belive that there is an existance of "creatures" who live beyond the boundry of this village. Naturally, this keeps everyone, especially the children out of the woods. but why? well, perhaps it's not to keep the in the Village, but to keep them OUT of the world outside...could it be that they're just people scaring off anyone who tries to enter the towns. The reason being to protect them from the dark past of the Village Elders? I guess you could describe the creatures as gigantic porcupines. well, if that doesn't make you wanna see the movie, either you're just insane, or I didn't do a very good job trying to convince you. oh, well i tried.     Cons: Trailers for movie made it seem like it was going to be something else.

    I loved this movie. As usual, M. Night Shyamalan didn't disappoint. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time wondering what would happen next. Alot of people I have talked to didn't like it because they were expecting something else. But..., I thought it was great! Read more Less

    this movie sucked big time! i didnt get it at all! okay why was that guy trying to do? what was so scary about that monster?the previes looked scary but when you waste $8 to see the movie you get disappointed you going to be confuse. that was how i f...elt when i went and spent my $8. i hope there would never make a movie like the village! thats all i have to say for now.     Not at all what I imagined

    Pros: The movie had a wonderful undertone about the function of the human mind. Especially under fear. The perception of the human mind and how it responds to tragic situations is an essential key to truly understand this movie.

    Cons: The movie itself isn't at all satisfying unless you are into analyzing the underlying themes of the director.

    I think the movie is an excellent choice for a look at how human beings operate under fear. It not only presents fear, but what the human mind perceives and what is really happening. Not a must see if you are into horror or science fiction. It has mo...re elements of a drama and love story. Read more Less
