Pros: Complex, Dark, Shocking Ending
Cons: A bit confusing, lengthy
This is a masterpiece who-dunnit. The police seek to find the man behind a massacre by interrogating the only survivor. Through a series of flashbacks we are given clues as to why the massacre happened, and fearful revelations of the man behind it all. If you have not seen this movie, what is wrong with you? Get out there and rent it!

Save for Kevin Spacey's superb performance, this is just another ho-hum crime story, laced far too liberally with obscenities and with an ending that should not have surprised anyone.

Without a doubt, this is one of the BEST films I have ever seen. I do not know of ANYONE who has seen it and did not like it. The script and acting are brilliant. Spacey's acting was even better than his acting in American Beauty (although he won Oscar's for both performances.) The movie is filled with mystery and suspense, action, and even some comedy. The police lineup scene is one of the funniest 5 minutes I can remember. Everyone's performances were outstanding including Stephen Baldwin, Benecio Del Toro, Gabriel Byrne and Kevin Pollack. My only regret is that I didnt see it in the theatre until after it received some buzz. Fortunately, the movie exceeding all of my expectations.

This movie is great it has to have one of the greatist stories ever writen for a movie. I showed this movie to some friends of mine who were non believers of the movie and now they all own it on DVD or video. This movie is a must own for anyone who claims to have a great DVD collection.

i first saw this movie when i was like in 5th grade, about 98, and i didnt quite understand it, but i've seen it dozens of times sense and i find it more amazing every time. ths is my favorite movie of all time. Kevin Spacey does a superb job portraying Verbal Kint. The acting in this movie is excellent. i didnt know who benicio del toro was before i saw this movie, and i thoght that his accent in this movie was the real way he talked, untill i saw him in other movies, and i realised how much he shined in that movie. this has to be my favorite movie, the characters, the plot, and most importantly, the ending are all excellent and i recommend this to anyone who is into action, mystery, suspense, crime, and thrillers. this movie has it all. its a must have for anyones collection.

What can you say about this movie? Too much to put into words. The acting is remarkable, from the lead characters, to the whole support staff. Kevin Spacey was amazing, as always. As the narrator of this story, he spins an incredible yarn of suspense, betrayal, and a very slight love story. The lack of love interest definatly works for this movie. Too much and the plot would have been bogged down. Brian Singer really showed his stuff as a director in this flick. Even Stephen Baldwin was good in this movie. It was an unlikely cast, but it came together beautifuly. This is a must rent, and a must buy.

Benicio Del Toro shouldve been in the movie more and he shouldve bee Keyser Soze and Kevin Pollack shouldve died instead of him.Also Gabrielle Byrne shoulve been replaced with Ray Liotta.It was still a good movie but it need alot of changes.

Just watching the plot unravels is pure delight. The movie, the cast the scenario is just amazing. However they could have find someone else than Gabriel Byrne.
