Unabashed worshippers of '60s surf and hotrod music, the Untamed Youth were led by Columbia, Missouri natives Derek Dickerson (guitar, vocals) and Steve Mace (bass). The band recorded several LPs for Billy Miller's (Zantees, A-Bones) Norton label, including 1988's Some Kinda Fun and 1990's More Gone Gassers From the Untamed Youth; both were produced by Miller and former Dictator Andy Shernoff.
