In addition to the Arcade mode, the game offers Original, Tutorial, Drill, and Boss modes. The Original mode plays out exactly like the Arcade mode, except here the player can acquire and use items as well as earn coins by satisfying one of five conditions for each chapter. The Tutorial mode takes newcomers through five lessons, from a basic tutorial, to quick touch-typing, to free-word training, with the sole aim of improving the user's typing ability. Drill mode provides various drills that test and help improve the player's proficiency in various areas such as typing speed and accuracy. What the?.......(Fun)......
, July 23, 2003Reviewer: Mm Sadda - See all Mm Sadda's reviewsIn case you don't already know, this is more or less 'House of the Dead 2' with a keyboard instead of a gun. The main purpose of the game is to type words within a certain time limit so zombies and other creatures can't attack you. This may sound like the worst idea for a gem ever, but it actually is fun in an offbeat, only-in-Japan sorta way. Graphically it is just House of the Dead 2 with no improvements. As far as sound goes, the music is decent, and i love the gunshots everytime you hit a key....it's rather amusing that Sega kept the same sound effects frod House of the Dead 2. The control is nice and solid, and you'll never find yourself blaming the keyboard for a miss. Overall, I'd say buy this game if you're looking for an excellent typing tutor or if you want one of the few really strange Japanese Dreamcast games that actually made it's way to the U.S. Overall, I'd reccomend a purchase if it sound interesting to you. ... -
