Jill Berlin - See all Jill Berlin's reviews I am not a drama movie lover per se, but "The Turning Point" is a touching, honest study of two women, one a middle-aged ballerina who never married, the other a former ballerina turned mother, who wonder what life would have been like for them if they were in the other one's shoes. Anne Bancroft and Shirley Maclaine deserved their Oscar nominations, the ballet sequences are spectacular, and the two women sure give it their all when their sparks fly in a climatic fight scene. ...
