    Pros: McPhan's Review

    Cons: Transformers Cartoon

Original havin created in 1986, this movie is a great summary or exactly what everyone needs when strangers dun want 2 watch 2 whole seasons again lol. Admittedly, The character director built is so good, Optimus, Ratchet, Ironhide ... everything is incandescent with his own characteristic, words.

The Transformers the Move DVD is great!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 21, 2002 | 1 out of 1 found this The Transformers: The Movie (1986) review helpful

The Transformers DVD Movie is the best animated film ever created! The Animation was done in Japan by Toei Animation company! Directed by Nelson Shin. This movie continues 20 years later after season 2 of the TV seris, the Autobots led by Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and the Decpticons led by Megatron (Frank Welker) are still at Civil War. The Decepticons have taken over Cybertron but the Autobots still Observe Cybertron over its Autobos Moon Bases 1& 2. A New Evil forces is comming a planet devouring everthing in its path, Unicron (Orsen Welles)! Can Optimus Prime and the Autobots stop this new evil that is heading toward their beloved home planet Cybertron! Other voices include Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stck, Eric Idle, and Casey Kasem. This film was actually uses to sell and market the series 3 toys. It was major disappoinment to see many of the Transformers caracters from the cartoon show die in this film. The Death of Optimus Prime was a major upset by Transfans but The people who produced the show (Sunbow Productions) made up for it. When the Transformers two-episode " The Return of Optimus Prime parts 1 and 2 was released on TV in 1987. It made many (including me)Transfans Happy! Get this is your a real Transformers fan! Highest Possible Recommendation! This film is also the last film the late actor,Orsen Welles (Citzen Kane), had done before he died. Buy it!

One of the best movies in movie history

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 11, 2001 | 1 out of 1 found this The Transformers: The Movie (1986) review helpful

Transformersthe movie has been one of the best movies that i've seen.It gives that feel of the episodes and sagas of the original cartoon series. some say that it's crap or that it's garbage but I think that they must not of seen the movie because they don't know what they are saying. If they were to put the original transformers back on television, I would record each and every episode, from first to last.

    The classics

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 1, 2001 | 1 out of 1 found this The Transformers: The Movie (1986) review helpful

Transformers is definately classic. As a little kid I collected the toys. I don't remember seeing it in the theaters, but I did get the VHS. It was AWESOME. After I heard that the film was rereleased, I popped in the movie and watched for old times sake. The original show should be put back on Television. The stars used as voice overs were perfect, especially Orsen Wells as Unicron! Haven't seen an Anime I've liked better yet.

    All time greatest Transformers movie

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 11, 2001 | 1 out of 1 found this The Transformers: The Movie (1986) review helpful

This movie packs everything you need in an animated Transformers movie. From the unique and exciting start when Unicron devours a planet to Optimus Prime's untimely death and concluding with Hot Rod's rise to supremacy as the new Autobot leader in the shape of Rodimus Prime. Everything in this movie is up there with the best with the great sound track and the thrills and spills which easily make this the all time greatest Transformers movies of all time!

    One of the greatest

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 18, 2001

Transformers and G.I. joe are some of the best movies ever. One thing i wonder is where did all the autobots go? A lot were missing and some disappered with no explanation, and how did they beat all the Decepticons that poured out of cybertron? Whatever, it was still cool and made me cry. All the cool autobots getting shot in the shuttle and Prime dying were the only bad parts. Prime's grand entrance send chills down the spine!!

Still the Best in my book.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 13, 2001

Though I didn't get to see this movie in theaters back in '86 (Cause I was moving at the time so didn't get to here it was out) I got the chance to see it on video about 2 years later. This movie made me cry and want to kick ass so much. I got chills with it and was bummed they killedOptimus. And now to see that now that the are coming back again (what like the third time). I get to remember back to my time when They first came out and everyone thought it was the greatest (I personally had the whole Optimus Prime Rig. It kicked ass). And Someday when I have kids I'll introduce them to my kids and tell them about the good old days of Original Transformers (Man I'll feel so old). I still have the soundtrack (My second since I lost the first) and love to replay th songs and the parts of the movie they were in (Though I don't remember the part with the Wierd All song) in my head. I'll now be able to get this movie and relive my childhoodthoughts back to that great movie. Still and Always the best movie ever made. Autobots! Roll out!
