    Lame, boring and predictable.

    This movie seems to want to blow your mind. It's along the lines of DARK CITY and THE MATRIX, but I won't give away any more plot than that. I'll just say that when the "mind-blowing" moment finally arrives (for the six people out there who didn't ...see it coming) the character who discovers the "truth" is so toally underwhelmed by it, the moment falls in a heap like a sack of dead fish. The acting is so wooden and the characters so unlikeable, there's no one to root for, care about or even root against, so who cares what happens to any of them? Yet another movie more concerned with special effects and style than with expendable things such as plot and character development. HG Welles wrote captivating science fiction years before even movies were invented. Now we have movies capable of showing just about anything filmmakers can imagine, and this kind of dreck is all they can come up with? It's pathetic. One high point, however, is Vincent D'Onofrio, who, as usual, is great. Read more Less
