It's the best movie i have ever seen

The whole show is so real, it's not like other movies which are not really healthy, it's a movie that led us to the way to learning music and it's only a bit of romance too much romance is a disgust. I like all and everyone in the movie except for t...he Banorness, i enjoyed it and watch it on the Vcd for more than 10 times somtimes i watch more than 2 times a day-a holiday, i somehow i wish could get myself a Vcd. The Vcd I watch was my senior's but anyway, I will remember the story. Maria gives and thaught me the courage to do many things and face my problems. Read more Less

It's a beautiful movie, with beautiful characters, shot in a beautiful place- Salzburg, with beautiful pieces of music. In brief, I have never seen such a great film like it.

This move is about the best move that I have ever seen!!!! I love Julie Andrews and she is at her best acting here. She plays an young woman struggling to find her place in life. She wants to do God's will and tries her hand at the nun's life.... Fate makes a turn for her and she is driven to the hand of Captain Von Trapp (Plummer), and his seven children, Charmian Carr...Liesl von Trapp,Nicholas Hammond...Friedrich von Trapp, Heather Menzies...Louisa von Trapp, Duane Chase...Kurt von Trapp, Angela Cartwright...Brigitta von Trapp, Debbie Turner...Marta von Trapp, and little Kym Karath...Gretl von Trapp (whew). The time frame is sent in the last of the golden age of the 30's. Taking place in Austria, things heat up being on the brink of WW2. It is one of the greatest love stories ever told, outside Romio and Juliet. The third reich is wanting Von Trapp to serve on the German's side to them stronger in power against the US and other countries. The songs and the dancing are just wonderful that does not seem to grow old. With Andrew's strong vocals it is a sure win addition to any musical/love story library. A movie that is over 3 hrs long times flies while watching it because it is that good!!! I will never get tired of seeing Maria twirl in the Swiss Alps or seeing the family out wit the Germans on a rampage. Every scene is just breathtaking as well. In my book the hills will always be "alive with the Sound of Music"!!!!!! Read more Less

Julie Andrews is at her very best as the befuddled runaway nun turned governess who falls in love with her employer, played by the dashing Christopher Plummer.
