    THE MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS OF LED ZEPPELIN ARE ASTONISHING TO BEGIN WITH. PLUS THE LIVE VERSION OF THE RECORDING "DAZED AND CONFUSED" AMAZED ME SO MUCH, I HAVE IT ON VINYL. IT IS A FILM BEYOND A FILM.

    The most awesome live performance ever captured on film. The inclusion of the dream/trippin sequences can be more than visually wonderful if you take some shroom's or LSD and grasp the inner meaning of the entire personal journey of each of the band ...members. It's not just a live concert video, it's a movie, and a very well done movie. I'm still trying to figure out how they got that camera to rotate in a perfect circle and capture that wild shot during a section of the the live stage show. (you'll see)See this on DVD with at least a buzz and no distractions, then you'll have earned the right to write a review of your own, either here or in your own mind, either way, you will not be disappointed.     One Dull Marathon

    The fascination to Led Zeppelin remains one mystery without resolve to the cognoscenti of the rock/pop idiom. What was the principal message behind this British musical quartet when specific example of its catalog resorts to topics other than the sw...agger and sexual bravado of "Whole Lotta Love"? Although technical proficiency does not constitute exceptional output did Jimmy Page earn his status as virtuoso when he was not as "Dazed And Confused"- with or without bow- demonstrates. Much like the music of Led Zeppelin itself "The Song Remains The Same" is without point except to conjure images which attempts to illustrate its source as "ethereal" as Robert Plant himself might say. For the cognoscenti- this does not wash. For the rest of you it "rocks" thereby giving additional weight to the argument of those who know better. Read more Less

    Classic Led Zeppelin

    Although as said in another review, this isnt Led Zeppelins greatest ever performance. One thing to remember is that Led Zeppelin at their worst are still better than most bands at their best.The opening sequences oh this movie still baffle me, as I ...dont know what the hell seems to be happening. One scene seems to have werewolves dressed up like Al Capone, weird, but thats Zeppelin for you.The live set kicks off superbly with Rock and Roll, a tune guaranteed to wake up the sleepiest croud. And then we pass through excellent performances of the likes of Black Dog, The Song Remains the Same, a 30 minute rendition of Dazed and Confused, which gives way to the fine Stairway to Heaven. The whole thing is brought to an end by Whole Lotta Love. if you like Led Zeppelin, BUY THIS VIDEO, if you dont like Led Zeppelin, still, BUY THIS VIDEO. You dont get much better live than Led Zeppelin, the stage pressence of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant is un-equaled. Just buy the video, you wont regret it. Read more Less

    granted it is not a great zeppelin preformance, but it is a must for any zeppelin fan. Jimmy Page is amazing on stage and the sub-plots a pretty cool, too.
