Pros: A necessary expansion for any avid Sims Fan
Cons: Not even comparible to other Sim Expansions in quality.
When I first got this game at the retail price of $30 I thought: "Nice, another sims pets expansion (ie. The Sims: Unleashed) lets hope it isn't as piontless as the first one." And it wasn't, pet life in this game was vivid and dramatic.
But in my eyes, this expansion wasn't truly $30 new game worthy as an expansion. Maybe like a $10 patch downloaded off the internet worthy. This by only the smallest incriment expands the gameplay for the sims. Compared to other AMAZING expansions for the Sims 2, this was nothing.
Although, I must admit, this is one necessary expansion for any Sims fan such as myself. It did allow you to make pets, breed pets and grow old with your pets. But it just wasn't enough for me. I should be able to take my pet to pet shows, and I mean the complaints go on. But I guess the main thing is, this expansion should just do MORE. But hey! If that's my only complaint, then you know I'm just searching for something to complain about.

The Sims 2 Pets Expansion Pack is now available in stores! The Sims 2 fans were waiting for long for this expansion pack.
The Sims have now something special to do: taking care of their pets. The player had got bored with all this boring Sim-life after two expansion packs with objects only (Family Fun Stuff, Glamour Life Stuff). Now the pets bring the game back to life!
The only negative thing is that the species of the pets are not as many as we were waiting. Dogs, cats, womrats and tropical birds are not enough. Where are the snakes, the lizzards, the monkeys (this would match with the glamourous life!)?
The Sims 2 Pets Expansion Pack is a very good expansion pack by EA Games for The Sims 2. It should exist in every Sim-fan's collection!Was this review helpful? Yes - NoIts cool
Pros: Alot of fun
Cons: none that I can see
I am having a blast with this. Making all sorts of different types of dogs, cats, I like the birds too. The womrats not to crazy over. The gameplay is alot of fun you can get your pets jobs, you teach them commands as you're pet gets promoted you can unlock different collars for dogs, and cats, fur colors for cats and dogs, fur patters. There is new space age themes for both adults and children sims. I like it I give it overall 5 stars for being the most fun expansion pack made yet.
