Real release Date: September 14,15, or 17 Description: The sims2 basically lets you do everything you can do now, in real life. Example: Now you are able to get pregnant and have them ( no one knows how you have them because Maxis hasn't told any...body, listen to this review and you will know the REAL information givin by Maxis themselves ). Everytime you celebrate your birthday or your kids birthday, you and your kids will become older. Babies: you are now able to have infants, and now you can finally take them out of their carriage and throw them in the air and catch them safely ( they might throw-up after being thrown up in the air ), wash them up and change their diapers, and you can teach them how to walk and talk. Every birthday ( using the birthday cake ) celebrated will allow your infant to grow into a toddler or child. Note: I'm not quite sure about this, but you or the game will be able to mix the kids genes once you have them and you will see that they look like their parents. Kids/ Teens: kids and teens will have different options. I'm not quite sure what social options kids might be able to do, but they will be able to do much more things than the other sim games. Teens will be able to go to clubs ( based on a screenshot I saw from websites about the sims 2 ), throw parties as well as have sleep overs ( so will kids be able to have sleep overs ), babysit their little brother or sister, experience their first kiss, and be able to write in their diary ( so will kids be able to write in their diary ), also teens will be able to get arrested. Note: Kids and teens will be able to have weekends away from school and will be able to think in their regular beds as well as read or lay back on the couch. Also, teens will be able to graduate. Adults: Adults will be able to do many things. They will be able to hire maid and butlers as well as hiring their personal helicopter. Adults will be able to play in their regular beds or on the couch, go food shopping also clothes shopping and shopping for games and dvd movies, go to their jobs, take the family to a resturant, have and take care of their kids, teach their teens skills so when their teens grow up they'll be able to take care of themselves, play wit their babies and change them also wash them up and feed them, drive places ( I think, I'm not sure ), go jogging, go to the gym, and much more. Note: Everytime you celebrate a sims birthday ( using the birthday cake ). Also, when your sim gets married they will be able to have the REAL wedding and exchange rings ( you will be able to the ring on their hand or fingers too ). Elders: Elders will be able to do the same things adults wil be able to do ( I'm not sure they will be able to have kids ), also male elder sims will try flirting and touching the body of a female sim. Wether it was the ability to put yourself into someone elses life or the enjoment and addiction that captivated us when The Sims 1 came out this game is the perfect ...follow up to the wildly succesful game and series. The Sims2 (The stay at home andout of touble game)

When I first heard about The Sims 2 I thought, how could they possibly improve on The Sims? The Sims was my dream come true (even though now I spend more time making outfits for The Sims 2 that playing The Sims). Well I was amazed at how far a lot of... creative juices and talent could stretch because The Sims 2 would now appear to be my absolute dream come true. I mean I was going crazy when I saw the pics and the videos. I visit the site everyday at work (Even though I shouldn’t, but can’t resist) and at home. I mean it’s like breathing air I can’t stop or get enough. I proceeded to IGN.com and the official The Sims 2 website and downloaded all the videos available and most of the pics.The new features are fantabulos (well most I really don’t like the dying feature). Teens get pregnant, they now make their own decisions and they can do most anything that you yourself can do today (Although I would like to find out if you would be able to control their free will as in The Sims?). In The Sims 2 you will be able to get rich and recognized (and not by using the cheat code even though that is a very big plus +). The landscaping is out of this world, and the website is very informative and current in keeping you updated on what you can now do. They show families will interact in the videos and you can also make your own movie, a day in the life of your Sim. Although now you have to fulfill their wants in order to unlock special features (if your Sims are doing well in life they can unlock an almost serene state of mind or a sexy walk, but be careful fulfilling your Sims aspirations comes with a price. Flirt too much or go too far with an old flame and that may cause you a fiancé or a wife).Over all The Sims 2 to me is perfect I already bought it and I am patiently (even though it is not my strong suite) awaiting its release, when ever Maxis makes up their minds on a definite release date (whenever that is. The dates are so far sept. 14, 15, 17. But you know what I think that these dates maybe for other countries. You think? Mmmmm… Something to think about). Until then I will be checking out the website and making outfits until I can play God proficiently with my all 3-d newly human-like improved simmies.Thank you for reading my review. Pros: Everything to the grim reaper

Cons: Sometimes, I cannot get enough

I think it was worth my 30 dollars (bought it using ebay). Well, I suggest getting the DVD version. There are less installation hassles. Never tried the cd version. Good game, lots of fun, I don't need to recycle characters like the original.

Overall this is the best game I have played to date. There are no boundaries as to where you can go with it or what you can do. Whatever you are into, it appeals to any demographic. Even those that were turned off by some of the concepts in the ...first game will find that this one introduces new ones. For instance, some people feel that the first game has no point, like maybe it's a toy and not a game. The Sims 2 has purpose! Great game! I have seen the Sims2 trailer, and all screenshots, I have read every review. This game will be the Ultimate Game of ALL Sims games, I only wish I could have tested this game or had been a part in its creation. Pros: awesome version of the old game!

Cons: addicting :o)

I have yet to try the game.. I purchased it the other day and was sooo excited to try it out. I put it in my computer and nothing.. no response. Turns out I bought the DVD edition.. I thought that would have no effect on how the game runs, but turn...s out it does. Hopefully I will be able to return it where I bought it from.. but (in case anyone else is having this same situation), EA and Maxis have addressed this problem on TheSims2 website and will also exchange the game for you if the store you purchased it at will not allow it. Cons: What will the music be like?

This game looks great, the graphics look great and the Grim Reaper is above words, I am looking forward to the expansions. I hope the music is the same as the original though, i love the music. I hope they can do a lot more then the original game, i ...have all the original Sims games, they were great but they didn't have as quite a click as this one looks to have. I hope they bring back magic and pets, and vacations, that would be great. (Cars would be super great also!!) Read more Less
