This is an awesome DVD. Even if the quality of the episodes isn't as good as the future seasons, it is still fun to watch. Homer doesn't act as stupid or sound the same, but he is still a funny character in these early episodes. For sure I'm getting... Simpsons Season Two! Read more Less

Love to see a good show. Especially the whole season. The only thing wrong is the fact that you can't play all the episodes at once. You have to go back to the main menu and start all over. The same problem exists on the MASH: Season One dvd's. ...Kinda sucks when you want to just turn it on and watch, not having to fool around with the remote every 25 minutes. Fox really needs to fix this. Now if they will only get around to putting "That 70's Show" on disc. Later! Read more Less

I loved it because these earlier shows don't potray homer as a brain dead monkey but as a non-itellectual human being who can make us laugh even with a brain.

Somebody Up There Likes Me

Pros: Crude animation is fun to watch, Good stories, interesting, fun, a little funny, you can watch it whenever you want without waiting for the reruns

Cons: Not as funny as new episodes, not enough Tracy Ullman Shorts,

I had just started watching the simpsons a few weeks before I bought this. I would laugh hysterically during the episodes. I became an instant fan. So I decided that I needed this DVD. I enjoyed watching them and watching how they started off. Smithe...rs was black, Milhouse and chief Wiggum had black hair. The crude animation was fun to watch and it was fun to here Homer's original voice. There was only one problem. I wasn't laughing hysterically. The episodes were a little funny but not nearly as good as later seasons. But there was one good thing about that. The jokes didn't get old and the episodes were interesting each time you waatched them. The best one here is krusty Gets Busted. I have all three seasons and I am pleased with all of them but mostly season 3. Read more Less

I'm a big fan of the simpsons! Its one of the few TV shows that I can actually laugh at (even repeats). But as much as I love the simpsons, Season 1 is by far one of the worse seasons!
