There has been many diffrent collections made of Shirley Temple's short films, but this is the one to get. Although one of the weaker collections of her work for several reasons, this one does provide some benafits such as one of the discs dedicated to intresting behind the scenes footage and rare pictures as well as a short featurette about America's child stars. Also, amongst the short movies is a full length feature called "The Little Princess" which is a great film done by Shirley during her later years (when she was 12).
It's nice to be able to see some of Shirley's erlier work too, but this is also where the problems lay. Each short is there, full length, but some suffer in quality and sound being so old. It looks like nothing was done to restor these movies. The little storylines are cute though, making them enertaing to watch just as much as some of her full length movies. ...
