When Steve Barker (Johnny Knoxville) finds himself running dead last in the corporate rat race, he sinks to an all time low...he attempts to rig the Special Olympics by pretending to be intellectually challenged. But, Barker is completely out-classed by his fellow Olympians, who are not only better athletes; they're just plain better people. And they're on to him. But rather than rat-out the rat, they join forces with him to once and for all beat Jimmy, the cocky reigning champion of the annual games. With a work-out regime uniquely their own, they train Barker to go for the gold and, in the process, show him what's at the heart of a true winner.

    Good light-hearted story

Pros: Tugs at your heart strings

    Cons: Pretty predictable

I really didn't expect Johnny Noxville to be placed in a serious role. The humor is funny and in just the right amount. Definitely an interesting story, but very predictable. A guy who isn't so nice tries to deceive the Special Olympics for m...oney, then grows a heart in the end and gets the girl. Noxville is very versitile and didn't realize it until I watched this movie. Read more Less

    Don't Feel Guilty

    Pros: Great, endearing story

Cons: the feeling that soometimes you shouldn't be laughing so hard

To be honest I wanted to see this movie from the previews. There was a little part of me that thought that there could be a lot of good humor, but I had a aching feeling that I probably shouldn’t. I finally gave in and rented it. The movie was as fu...nny as I thought that it would be. Although I have never been impressed with Johnny Knoxville of Jack*ss and Dukes of Hazard fame, I found that he portrayed his character with that of a seasoned professional. He was both believable and endearing in his role. As for Katherine Heigl, what can I say. I never could find anything not to like about her. However, the real stars of the movie where the “Special Olympic Competitors” which originally caused that guilty feeling becaue I don't find jokes about the mentally challenged funny at all. They made the Steve character shine, and made the movie comfortable which made it more enjoyable. Not to mention that Knoxville’s co-stars delivered some of the best one-liners in the movie. The ending was warm, but cheesy. What can you do? Hollywood is always going to be that way. Read more Less
