The Red Sneakers (2002)

For Reggie Reynolds, life is basketball. A high school kid with a dream of becoming an NBA superstar, Reggie works hard on stepping up his game and preparing himself for a career in basketball. When a local junk seller catches his eye with an old pair of Chuck Taylors, Reggie buys them and wears them on the court as a lark. However, when Reggie begins playing in his new shoes, he finds that all of his skills have taken a quantum leap and that he has become the best baller in the nation. However, when an opportunistic sports shoe manufacturer comes calling, he threatens to take over Reggie's future and spoil his career with promises of wealth and fame.
