Pros: follows well with the story; shows storytelling w/o words
Cons: shoes echoing along alleys gets really loud
I'm a teacher and some of my second grade students and I read the short story "The Red Balloon" by Albert LaMorrise. After reading the story, I showed the video. It prompted a lot of discussion with my kids. I remember seeing the video way back when I was young. Though it stuck with me I did not understand it.
i saw this movie when i was in 2nd graded and it sucked and just for good measure i saw it again. guess what it still sucks.
The Red Balloon proves that language and culture is no barrier to good storytelling. A simple story on the surface, the film follows the title object on its adventure through the city. Suitable for all ages, The Red Balloon is truly something that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
