Pros: the special kills and interrogations are cool, cameos from other Marvel characters, story lifted from Garth Ennis' run

Cons: rag doll physics (never been a fan of it), enemy AI is nonexistent, camera wasn't the best

I've been a Punisher fan for a long time, and when I heard about the game, I was excited, and when I heard about the interrogation system, I thought "cool, something that would make the game unique". Then I read some reviews, and the cr...itics were mostly lukewarm about it, saying that the enemies were too easy to kill and there were too many of them, the word "pointless" has been thrown around. So I went out and rented it (cause I ain't got no damn money). I did find the game extremely enjoyable, mostly from the story, lifted from the Garth Ennis run on The Punisher comics, which straddles the line of very grim, to very funny. And I did like the interrogation system, but the critics were right about the bad guys (although I played it on Easy mode, otherwise, I'd still be stuck on the docks rather than beating it). The graphics are good, but not great by today's standards (like Soul Calibur 2, or Resident Evil 4). I liked the voice acting by Thomas Jane (the dude who played Punny in the movie), and some of the voice acting by the other characters were pretty good, too. As far as the controls are concerned, I did fumble with them at first, but after a while they did become pretty intuitive. It seems the game is aimed at a certain demographic of players, the comic book fans. No doubt the Marvel zombies will dig appearances by Daredevil, Iron Man, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Kingpin, and Bullseye. I know I did. But some players might be put off by the game seeming too short or too easy. I would recommend renting if you are a casual comic book fan, but the Marvel fanboys (like me!) would have a lot of fun with their own copies of it. Read more Less
