    Buy, rent, or borrow this movie.Despite a lengthy religious education, I never gave much thought to the nature of angels - they seemed so unlikely and so far removed from the nature of man they were eminently dismissable - until I saw this movie.Cons...ider the complexities of portraying an archangel in what could clearly be authentic philosophical and moral dilemmas under traditional doctrine.Or, more prosaically, picture an archangel with attitude. Now, what circumstances could cause an angel to develop attitude?there you have it - The Prophecy.Christopher Walken is a superb actor. I cannot imagine anyone else filling this role with the facility and intelligence he has brought to it.The direction is excellent, the editing remarkable, and the acting nothing short of (hey, I've earned it) angelic.     Pros: Unique story, great characters, nice balance.

    Cons: ?

    I was really pleasantly surprised by this movie that sort of came out of nowhere. A really interesting premise, nicely realised and paced, and as always, an eccentric but believable performance by Christopher Walken, as well as the rest of the cast. ... Also there is the good news that the two subsequent films are pretty darn enjoyable as well. Not, however, for the faint at heart. Read more Less

    i loved christopher walken in this movie because he have that natural scary look which makes him all the more better playing an evil person. i also liked it when they are showing us that there are a lot of archangels in this world today and that you... can't go with what a person is telling you about the bible because everybody (myself included) don't know the bible like we suppose to know it. So, this is a good example of what to expect to deal with while on earth. Read more Less

    When I first saw this movie, I was taken back by the reality this movie could actually hold. I liked the way the actors brought out their character, especially Gabriel's. Ever since I saw the first, I've been searching around to find the other 3. So ...far this entire series is so good! A definite for any fan of this movie! Buy it!! Read more Less
