    Pros: EXCELLENT MOVIE

    one of the best western movies out there. Excellent acting by all of the cast.

    One Of My Favorite Films

    I saw this film when it premiered in 1966 in one of the first of the "modern" theatres (it looked like a white box, no curtain) and which set the stage for today's multiplexes. Anyway, I loved the movie then (I was 17) and I love it now. I've alway...s been a Burt Lancaster fan ("Seven Days in May" is my favorite performance; "The Professionals" is a close second), but what distinguishes "The Professionals" from other "westerns" is it's wit.     despite no music worth remembering. Makes it on merits of excellent acting, good convincing story and plenty of action. The end is a bit weak, but so what!

    Great Movie Star Movie

    If you want big stars and bigger action in the western genre, it doesn't get much better than THE PROFESSIONALS. Great character nuances are provided by the script and direction of Richard Brooks. Lee Marvin and Burt Lancaster head a stellar cast. D...on't be fooled by the video jacket. Soldier of fortune Burt Lancaster isn't the leader of this band of mercenaries, Lee Marvin is and what a leader. They don't make them like this anymore... that's a cliche, but it fits. Let's hope the remake in development at Columbia never happens. They won't be able to repeat this magic. Read more Less

    Old feeling......

    We have seen new westerns but never has anyone (except Clint) able to carry the movie as Burt and Lee in this movie. Not a classic like Wild Bunch but the 2 actors surely exudes class in this movie. The story tells a tale of beliefs,honour and respe...ct like all old western movies. I guess thats whats missing in movies now?A good buy if you are fans of the 2 actors or western. Read more Less
