The Prisoners
The Prisoners got their start in the same Medway River delta area of Britain as Billy Childish's Pop Rivets (and other bands), hailing from the city of Chatham, near Canterbury. Their amateurish garage rock style was also similar to Childish's, although The Prisoners obviously admired the mod sound and were more inclined toward pop melodies.
