, April 6, 2002Reviewer: redhmomma2000 - See all redhmomma2000's reviewsThis was just a darling movie! We watched it in my Hebrew School class and it was a huge hit! It has a wonderful combination of songs, great voive over talents, and animation. I also have something else to say... It's to texas0413.. What do you mean "A great Christian Movie". Moses was a Jew... I mean sure Christian people would like it but why would you call it a "Great Christian Movie". ...

Pros: Story, soundtrack, animation
Cons: Can't think of any
"DreamWorks" tells the story of Moses, Egypt and the Hebrews wonderfully - regardless of it's historical accuracy. The movie is set to a wonderful soundtrack, not just the vocals but the 'musical' score is just as powerful. I have watched the video with my four year old daughter MANY, MANY times and we find it just as uplifting and inspiring the last time as we did the first time we watched it. Not being very religious, I had doubts that I would find much interest in a animated movie about a biblical event?! I couldn't have been more wrong!! "DreamWorks" did a superb job ~ visually stunning, the story is easy to follow (even for my four year old!), the music is uplifting and beautifully placed throughout the movie and the moral is 'age old' (no pun intended!) I would recommend this movie to anyone with children ~ it would be a wholesome addition to any video library!! My faith has been restored ~ there are still stories worth telling to our children!! Thumbs up for "Prince of Egypt". ...
