Fabulous movie, great acting.
Intelligent plot. I am NOT an Altman fan usually, but I thought this movie was his best one.

If you're an Altman fan, or even if you don't know his movies from a hole in the wall, don't miss this movie.
Outstanding story and writing, beautifully acted by Tim Robbins and a virtual plethora of Hollywood stars, and Altman's unique style make this one of the best movies I've seen.
I felt Obligated to write this review after reading what the other idiot wrote about this movie. This movie is not for the masses - if you're one of those moronic robots who enjoy conventional crap (summer blockbusters, etc.), then don't bother with this.

At first I thought it was a joke that people were just talking without a subject then I realized that the whole movie was going to be the same. Just like Evita being a song movie, I never expected it to be filled with so many stars though. The story poor, acting was lousy, and directing was worse.

One of Robert Altman's best movies. Has the usual star-studded cameo cast, but gets incredible performances out of them, especially Tim Robbins. Altman's not-so-subtle barbs about Hollywood and his cinematic allusions to many of the classic movies the town has produced make for great viewing.
