    The patriot is an amazing film featuring Mel Gibson. This movie really captures what life would be like during the civil war.     i love this movie so much. Heath Ledger is sooooooooooooooooo hott! Same with mel Gibson. it is really sad when gabriel dies though because watching mels face when he cries made me cry every single time i watched it.     Patriot was a movie that shows emotions of a single fateher trying to protect his kids in a time of war. Every movie that has history in it will always be slightly inacurate. Some movies more then others. The patriot was a great movie and a good role... for Mel. Read more Less

    This by far is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It is kind of scarey when you watch this that people back then actually went through events very similar to this. Highly Recommended!!

    God I love this movie! Mel Gibson is so great! Poor Heath, I can't believe he dies in this! I hate that his girlfriend dies and the women and children and elders left behind that burn in the church, it's very sad! I could watch this tear jerk...er all day everyday!
