Synopsis: The Painted Veil (2006)

Set in the 1920s, this love story is about a young English couple (a doctor and a society girl) who marry hastily. They relocate to Hong Kong where they betray each other easily, but then they find an unexpected chance at redemption and happiness while on a deadly journey into the heart of ancient China.

    I think this was the most challenging performance for Edward Norton. he did great.he showed us not only he can play thrillers perfectly he can do romance and drama as well.I haven't seen the original version but I don't regret it cause this r...emake seems to be perfect. the cast was perfect I like the fact that Edward Norton and Naomi Watts has produced this production.I truly liked the ending.... the only part that bothered me was the slow way that the story went on....sometimes it was getting so boring.....but I think over all it is fine.of course its on my top 5 of 2006!     Cons: will see it again and again

    The way this movie was captured, from the actors and actress Niome Watts was beutiful. The location was also nice, different but also beautiful.
    You must understand life and love to know what The Painted Veil means.
