New Yorkbased musicians Alex, Kip, Kurt, and Peggy came together to form the Pains of Being Pure at Heart in 2007. With their walloffuzz guitar stylings and their sugary pop underpinnings, the band nodded to any number of oldschool indie pop acts, notably Black Tambourine and My Bloody Valentine.
