ExLegendary Jim Ruiz Group singer Allison LaBonne's unconventional lyrics and vocals attracted fans of quirky indie pop to Minneapolis foursome the Owls soon after she recorded the band's initial recordings with The Hang Ups frontman Brian Tighe.
