But as her feud with the ranchers escalates to boiling point and Johnny moves in to settle the score, Rebecca finds herself forced to choose between her burgeoning love for him and commitment to her pacifist religious beliefs. This sweeping romantic Western, beautifully shot in the wilds of Queensland, Australia, features strong cameo performances by genre stalwarts David and Keith Carradine.

    The Outsider was terrific

    Pros: Everything!

    Cons: Nothing!

    This was a very moving story about religion and love. The cast was terrific and did an excellent job at making you feel their emotions. It's a movie I could watch over and over! Thanks for a great movie!

    Pros: Overall good movie from start to finish

    Cons: Was't long enough

    I saw this movie on Lifetime and I rushed and bought it the next day...believe it or not, I put this movie on when I go to bed and I am looking at it all day...I have had this movie for about three weeks and let me tell you, I have seen it at least 6...0 times...I am addicted...I like the way that Johnny Gault stands up for her...I like the fact that he is taken by her honesty and kindness and sincerity...and to top it all off, I like the way he looks...he is a strong handsome, unafraid, capable of handling any situation...believe me, if you get the real meaning of it, you will see it over and over and over and over like I have...I am going to purchase another one because I have worn this one out almost...Randa Haines knew what to put together...I wish there was a sequel...it just wasn't long enough...by the way, I am looking at this movie as I am writing this...Nobody else could have played that part like he did...even in the romantic scenes, he is more believable than most guys I see in a love scene...trust me, do a sequel and I am in the front of the line...he should try wearing the type of beard he wore on The Outsider...he is some good looking and the physique...he looks like he lifts weights...to make a longer story short, I can put the movie on Mute and can tell you by the lip movements what is being said...this is how much I've watched this movie...Great work!!!....
