The One!!
Pros: Excellent Fighting Sequences
Cons: Smokin' Joe Kitty wasn't in the movie.
This is a kick-butt and take-no-names type of martial arts action flick!!

This is the worst movie I have EVER SAW IN MY LIFE. IT has the worst plot, I would not watch this if someone put a gun to my head. I rather give my self a paper cut and pour lemon juice on it, than watch this movie.

this was the best movie ever and to stingwray_6 at the end he was just fighting other bad guys who wanted to kill him not other wanna be gods. BUT THIS WAS THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!

Amazing affects like in other great films such as the Marix, its story line is one of the best I've ever seen in a movie, and its brilliant display of martial arts is enough to make anyone love it !

His martial arts were good, but Jet Li was better in some of his other oversea movies he made (alot) in Hong Kong about China's famous Hero Fong. Which haven't made over to the states yet. I was lucky to be in Hong Kong and bought a few. The sci-fi movie is about parallel universes. I read that some of the reviews didn't understand the ending with they sent the bad Li to a parallel universe (which at that universe, the city on earth was destroyed by some major castrophe or war) and the name of the game is king of the mountain which a lot of you know how it is played. So he ends up trying to be king fighting thousands of other trying to be king.

The movie rocked!
It could have been a whole lot better but with all that it offered it got a 5. The story was awsome it didn't confuse me one bit except when he sent Li back to his time. I don't know if that's a different dimension, a perfect dimension, or the same universe earlier time. I don't know but I hope they make a sequal where Gabe becomes "The One" and it explains what happened there, and Yu Law escapes Hades Universe, I mean god he can just kick everybodys ass and use their teleporters to return. Why did they send him there in the first place you know they have teleporters there for the people not there for life.

This is a good movie, despite the weird storyline (I loved the story though) Jet looks REALLY hot in this one, it's really action filled and if you like sci-fi, u should deffintly watch this, it rulez!

I have been lucky enough to watch this film 5 months before it's U.K release (APR 12) while on holiday in the U.S.A. This is the best kung-Fu/Action film i have seen scine The Matrix. The fight scenes areexcellent and the special effects are even better. It was well worthj the ticket-fare.I think that this film was heavily inspired by the Matrix but it is just as entertaining and i am fast becoming a Jet Li fan. This film will be best viewed on a big-screen T.V and on FULL VOLUME.

This was an excellent movie for people with just about every taste. It has action, sci-fi, martial arts fabulously performed, a love story with twists, and an incredible plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire ride. The acting is superb and the directing is unbeatable. However, probably one of the most immediately noticed characteristics of this movie are the futuristic special effects. They will blow you away! Another impressive aspect of this film is the score and music. Some techo-esque and newer hard rock that fits with the movie especially on the fight and chase scenes add just what this movie needs to be great.

Think of THE ONE as a combination of TIMECOP, DOUBLE IMPACT and a little UNIVERSAL SOLDIER. This is not a bad movie, but it just doesn't reveal any new material. I think KOD is far superior to this one but THE ONE does provide entertainment. THE ONE has the qualities that were popular in late 80's early 90's martial arts/action films. The writers did their Jean-Claude homework but hopefully Jet will not tread too long in Van Damme's career path. It's Jet so see it.

I know alot of you love traditional martial arts, but it would be cool to be The One, to Whup A$$, and to pick up motor cycles and smash 'em into someone. I's just an awesome movie, and the multiverse was a cool story line thing.

I saw this movie in the theaters, and was just a little disappointed. I'm more of a traditional martial arts movies fan (you killed my master and I will have revenge). It seemed that the producers got a little too technical with the Matrix style effects. The redeeming factor is that it is a Jet Li movie. However, this kind of movie takes away from the disclosure of his true ability. (He's won 5 gold medals in Wu Shu, the first of which he won at age 11, so he is the real thing; not a knock-off.)It is still worth a watch, but rent it before you buy it.

I m a audience who live in China, I have already got this DVD at 2.8, only cost me about $1 I really can't understand those stupid guys who boosted this movie, actually, this is one of the worst movie I've ever seen. And not only I but also many Chinese audience think this movie is terrible.

The One was a great movie, I went back and saw it twice.It was great,especically at the end when Jet Li says that he's nobody Bitch.Great movie the special effects were great.You have to see this movie,I can't wait intill it comes out on DVD. Excellent movie if you haven't seen it you need to see it. You want be disappointed.He's #1

This film is very entertaining!
Jet Li proves that he is one of the most gifted martial artists in the world.
Although the plot is simple as opposed to the matrix, it is the action and special visual effects that make this an entertaining flick.

i saw the one today, it is the best movie i have ever seen. constant action, you are always guessing and on the edge of your seat. the fighting is top notch, the story is great. at least 10 times better than 'the matrix'. i loved it.
