Synopsis: The Object of My Affection (1998)

Nina (Jennifer Aniston) is a young woman who falls for her new roommate George (Paul Rudd) who just wants to be friends. When Nina finds herself pregnant, she comes to the conclusion that she'd rather raise the child with George than with the father.     This is a great movie about friendship and love! I love this movie!!!
    If you have ever fallen in love with a person that didn't feel the same, and to complicate matters, is your best friend!!! This is your movie!

    Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd take somewhat marginal material, and create a wonderfully sensitive story that can be universally viewed and enjoyed. Proving that she's more than 1/6 of a "friend", Aniston whips out her dramatic chops and goes to work.... Matching her for dramatic torment, when appropriate, is the charasmatic Rudd. Lending ample support are Alan Alda, Allison Janney and the now, late, Nigel Hawthorne. The viewer cannot help but be captivated by Aniston's Nina, as she struggles with societal pressures and personal desires.Though the story does have a unrealistic wrapped up happy ending, the trip to get there is well worth the time to watch this film.
