    If you liked the sixth sense, Stigmata and The end of days "The Ninth Gate" is another very surprising very good movie.Not being the biggest fan of Johnny Deep, I was very surprised of his bone chilling performance. I give it a 5 on 5 because I love... long movies and I consider this one very well full-filled!I suggest you give it a try... -Mat- Read more Less

    Pros: Amazing

    A great thriller movie which interestingly enough contains “some” accurate history. Worth watching!!!

    The movie was going along good until the blond woman started flying and making her eyes glow. It would have been fine if they told you why she had supernatural powers, but they dont.     Great puzzler, is it a gate to heaven or hell. Or is Heaven hell or vice versa...I don't know my head hurts. Anyway, Johnny Depp does a good job. The ending still a headache..but what the hell, it's someone's gate

    Depp was good as usual but, who the hell was that women!?

    An angel? A demon? What!?

    This film had me captivated at it's beginning but, then, near the end it just takes a dive and gets really stupid.

    One of the best of Polanski's creations!For those who look for only recreational purposes in movies, this well-hidden-meaning triller will be a disapointment.To understand it well you have to be familiar with Perez-Reverte's masterpiece, El Club Duma...s. Polanski's attempt to simplify the plot in order to bring the idea of the story to viewer is in a way successful, however the core meaning of the story is somehow changed. Still, an excelent work, for those who can "see between the lines" and explore the underlying signs of the events, this is a remerkable presentation! Read more Less

    don't even rent this movie out of curiosity. i did and it sucked. one word for this flick: shallow. and i love jonny depp, but the writing was just too bad. you knew exactly what was going to happen every step of the way.
